Hvor meget chili kan du spise? Er du klar til at lære om de fem forskellige typer Sichuan chili? Så tag dine venner under armen og deltag i Hot Pot Republics Spicy Hot Pot Challenge.

Under Copenhagen Cooking går Hot Pot Republic og Mikkeller sammen, når de afholder et ekstraordinært event hvor de mest hardcore chilientusiaster belønnes med gratis Hot Pot og gratis Mikkeller-øl.

Nedenstående regler skal følges for at deltage i konkurrencen:

  • Du deltager i udfordringen som et hold. Ét hold deler én hot pot. Minimumsantallet på et hold er to personer og det maksimale antal er fem personer.

  • Hver deltager får en gratis øl fra Mikkeller ved konkurrencens start. Hvis dit hold vinder konkurrencen, vil jeres hot pot og Mikkeller-øllene, der er bestilt af holdet undervejs, være gratis. Dit hold bliver tildelt titlen Dragon Masters på aftenen, og vil kunne bære det seje dragehoved.

  • Hot pot-konkurrencen starter på det ekstra stærke niveau (det højeste niveau på den almindelige menu). Inden for de første 20 minutter skal du færdiggøre de første 5 ingredienser på dette niveau. Derefter vil der hvert 10. minut blive tilføjet yderligere to hot pot-ingredienser og ca. 30 gram chilisauce til din hot pot. Du skal tilberede ingredienserne i den varme suppe og spise dem inden for 10 minutter.

  • Konkurrencen varer i to timer, hvor der tilsættes chili-mix fem gange. Mængden af ​​chili øges hver gang. Hvis dit hold når igennem alle niveauer og færdiggør al maden inden for den krævede tid, så vinder du.
    Hvis mere end ét hold når igennem alle udfordringerne, vil det hold, der færdiggør sin hot pot først vinde.

  • Holdet kan til enhver tid forlade konkurrencen. Når I er ude, vil I få tilbudt en normal hot pot, som I kan tilberede resten af ​​ingredienserne i, mens I overværer den sidste del af konkurrencen.
    Derudover skal I skal betale for bordets bestilling af mad og drikke.

  • Det er tilladt at bestille drikkevarer (undtagen vand) under konkurrencen. Du må dog ikke tilføje din drink til den stærke bouillon.

Spicy Hot Pot Challenge

How spicy can you eat? Are you ready to learn about the five different types of Sichuan chilies? Then team up with your friends and join Hot Pot Republic’s Spicy Hot Pot Challenge.


During Copenhagen Cooking, Hot Pot Republic and Mikkeller joins forces when hosting an extraordinary event to reward hardcore spicy foodies with free Hot Pot and free Mikkeller beers.


The following rules must be followed to enter the competition:



  • You join the challenge as a team. One team shares one hot pot. The minimum number on a team is two persons and the maximum number is five persons.


  • Every participant gets a free Mikkeller beer. If your team wins the challenge, the hot pot and the Mikkeller beers ordered by the team will be free. Your team will be awarded the title Dragon Masters of the evening, and you can wear the cool dragon head.


  • The hot pot challenge will start on the extra spicy level (the highest level on the regular menu). In the first 20 minutes, you will have to finish the first 5 ingredients on this level. Then every 10 minutes, two more hot pot ingredients and around 30 grams of chili sauce will be added to your hot pot. You need to cook the ingredients in the spicy hot pot soup and finish them within 10 minutes.


  • The challenge will last for two hours, where chili mix will be added five times. The amount of chili will be increased every time. If your team can finish all the spicy levels, and finish all the food within the required time, then you win! – However, if more than one team passes all the challenges, the team which finishes the spicy hot pot first will be the winner.


  • You can quit the challenge at any time. After you quit, the hot pot will be changed to normal one. You will get the rest of the ingredients and enjoy watching the competition. And you will need to pay for the menu.


  • You are allowed to order drinks (except water) during the competition. However, you are not allowed to add your drink to the hot pot broth.
